Surface Preparation

  • Adhesive must be cured prior to the joint application.
  • The application surface must be cleared of dust, dirt, detergent etc. which may prevent adhesion.
  • Joint gaps must be cleared of adhesive residuals and adhesive residuals which fill joint gaps must be mechanically removed.
  • Absorbance must be minimized by way of dampening joint gaps with clean water.

  • Pour sufficient amount of clean water in a clean mixing container. Slowly add Fuga .flex to the water and mix it with the help of a mixer with 400-500 cycle/minute until you obtain a smooth mixture (for 3-5 minutes).
  • Mature the mixture for 3 minutes and mix it for further 1-2 minutes.
  • The mixed mortar is available for use.

  • The prepared mortar is spread on the surface and joint gaps are filled with cross movements with the help of a rubber spud.
  • Excess mortar must be removed from the surface by means of stripping.
  • The first wiping process must be performed with circular movements after 15-30 minutes depending on ambient temperature with the help of a damp sponge.
  • The sponge must be cleaned frequently during the wiping process and wiping with an excessively damp sponge must be avoided.
  • Primary wiping process must be performed through a dry cloth after making sure that the applied joint sealant will not overflow.
  • Do not apply the product under direct sunlight or when the surface and air temperature is less than (+5°C) or higher than (+35°C) or in case of strong wind.
