Surface Preparation
  • The application surface must be cleared of mould oils, dust, paints, detergents and such other substances which may prevent adhesion.
  • Any surface defects must be repaired with Davco Repair Mortar prior to the application depending on the surface and defect.
  • Absorbing surfaces must be primed with Lanko 160 and double coat primer must be applied for the surfaces with very high absorbing capacity.
  • Surface temperature must be reduced by means of dampening if it is too high.


  • Suitable amount of water must be measured and poured in a clean mixing container. Bond Pool Flex must be slowly poured in it and the mixture must be stirred with the help of a low speed mixer with 400-500 cycles/minute until you obtain a homogenous mixture (3-4 minutes).
  • The prepared material must be stirred for further 1-2 minutes after it is cured for 3 minutes for the purpose of maturation.
  • The mixed mortar is now available for use.


  • The mortar must be applied to the surface by pressure in order to ensure better adhesion and then the surface is dredged with a steel notched trowel selected according to the dimension of the material to be coated.
  • The combined method (mortar application both on the surface and following the coating) must be preferred for 20x20 cm and larger coatings, the areas subjected to intense traffic and the surfaces which will be subjected to atmospheric conditions.
  • Adhesion process on the mortar which is dredged to the surface must be completed within not later than 20 minutes.
  • High temperature, low moisture, strong wind etc. may shorten this period.
  • Expired mortar must be scratched from the surface and the surface must be subjected to re-dredging and the coating material must be adhered.
  • The coating material must be placed on the surface with cross movements to ensure better adhesion and the air between the surface and coating must be discharged with the help of a plastic knob.
  • The mortar must be consumed within 1 hour to the utmost. Any expired and crusted mortar in the container must not be used.
  • Do not apply the product under direct sunlight and when air temperature is lower than (+5°C) or greater than (+35°C) or the weather is severely windy.
